Position Opening: Field Service Engineer

Location: Fort Lauderdale , Florida

Accountability Objective: Responsible for the repair, reconditioning and assembly of ABB turbocharger parts. Performs both Technical Center and Field service activities according to requirements. Travels and performs overtime as required.

Position Qualifications: Complies with all US government work restrictions and regulations. Knowledge of the standard practices, materials, tools and equipment used in the repair of ABB turbochargers. Knowledge of safety issues relating to the use of tools, equipment and supplies used for turbocharger repair. Ability to read manuals, work instructions and schematics. Ability to communicate with other Technical Center employees and customers. Ability to enter repair information into machine software. Ability to organize and coordinate work. Ability to lift heavy objects. Possess the attitude to “Do it right the first time.”

Principal Accountabilities:

Desirable But Not Required: Familiarity with MAN, MET (Mitsubishi) and NAPIER turbocharger systems.
